“Ljubljana Talks” Workshop

Trends and challenges in ELS research and education

Would you like to make use of the opportunity to learn more about contemporary ELS research developments in Europe? And to present your own ELS work-in-progress or pitch your first research ideas to the ESELS board? And would you like to share your experiences and learn more about teaching empirical-legal studies in higher education?

Then register for our interactive ESELS Workshop “Ljubljana Talks”: Emerging trends and challenges in empirical-legal research and education” upcoming Friday 24 October 2025 (14:00-17:00) in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

During this interactive workshop the European Society for Empirical Legal Studies facilitates research presentations from ESELS board members and provides everyone interested with the opportunity to join our interactive presentations and discussions and to present your own ELS work-in-progress.

This workshop is open to anyone to learn more about the current research projects of fellow ELS scholars and their empirical approaches to the law as well as great networking opportunities and valuable feedback on your individual challenges – as every workshop presenter will be assigned to a discussant who reviews your submission / presentation.

Submissions of work-in-progress from all fields of law (EU law, international law, law & economics, constitutional law, etc) are welcomed, an empirical component is required.
