Pre-conference workshops

Interviewing for lawyers

Do you want to know more about the ‘best practices’ behind conducting interviews? To know when your interviews live up to academic and ethical standards? And also to obtain more hands-on experience in developing your interview skills with peers, before starting off with doing qualitative research in your own field of law?

Then don’t hesitate to register for our hands-on, interactive pre-conference workshop on how to conduct scientific interviews for legal scholars of all areas.

In this crash course we’ll offer theoretical insights on interviewing as a branch of qualitative research, good practices and pitfalls, and opportunities to interactively practice your interview skills with fellow participants.

Think about the basics of how to set up, conduct, analyze, code and report your interviews, as well as ethical considerations to consider when interviewing.

Of course, there is also plenty of room to brainstorm together about your individual questions and challenges regarding interviewing.
